As well as providing some of the best and fastestt advice on Compromise Agreements, we  offer practical legal advice to individuals and businesses, especially those supplying the financial services industry. The firm's clients range from global news and data providers to specialist software developers, business start-ups and individual employees.

In the very first week we opened our office in the City of London we were asked to advise on one of these agreements, which was needed by an international publishing company with offices nearby, and the work has continued ever since, with companies and employees in every field from international banks and law firms, to accountants and architects, fitness centres and fashion houses. As the turmoil in the markets unwinds we expect an increasing need for the experience we have developed in this field.

Guy Thompson & Co is a sole practice regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority with registration number 389258.

Guy Thompson has experience throughout Europe and beyond, obtained by working in the European head offices of global companies serving the financial services industry.

As well as working in the specialist areas of data and software licensing and employment law, Guy was Compliance Officer of the stockbroker Bridge Trading Company (UK) Limited (a member of the London Stock Exchange) from 1998 until its acquisition by Reuters in 2001. So he knows the pressures felt by traders and data vendors.

From July 2003

Since forming Guy Thompson & Co in July 2003, Guy has been constantly engaged by clients supplying data, news, software and advisory services to the financial community in the City of London. Topics covered have included:
